Dear valued clients & friends,
In the previous issue, I mentioned that Singapore would be in the limelight throughout 2008 for all the exciting new “inbound attractions” slated to hit our island home; from the jaw-dropping views from the Singapore Flyer, to the eye-popping static and aerial displays of the Changi Air show, and to the adrenalin-pumping super fast F1 race, we are truly fortunate to have so many spectacles all in one place.
Who would blame you if you thought that to enjoy all the best that life (or Singapore) has to offer, you would need to be confined to staying in town? But then again, I am afraid to say that you would be absolutely wrong.
Only a few short months after the launch of the world’s first A380 flights between Singapore and Sydney, Singapore Airlines has announced that it would be inaugurating a new service for the world’s premier aircraft between the venerable and once considered endurance-testing, Singapore-London route. From March 18, one can now sample of the best of what Singapore Airlines and the A380 aircraft has to offer in old world charm and modern comfort. The start of this service will essentially mean that Singapore Airlines will be the first to offer the new Super Jumbo on the complete Kangaroo route (the popular name for London to Sydney).
Regardless of which cabin the traveler flies in, he will be pampered by the spacious interior, a plethora of products, services and amenities exclusive to the Singapore Airlines A380; between the food, the in-flight entertainment system and the amenities that are perfectly spec’ed to ease your portable notebook needs, you will be spoilt for choice-it’s a wonder you get any sleep in at all.
It’s really a can’t-miss flight or feather in the cap, for any real road-warrior worth his salt! Did I mention that SQ308 is the most popular Singapore to London flight? Yup! In spite of the additional seats being offered, you can be sure that this flight will be pretty well booked up in advance. You have been forewarned; do book well ahead of your departure.
Truly, gone are the days when one had to make two to seven hops between Singapore and London; that’s progress for you, and what a relief that is!
Begin your adventure in a new light this March 18th.
