:: Implementation of 1st Port of Arrival at Bangkok & all Customs Immigration Quarantine (C.I.Q.) Airports ::

Effective from 01 Apr 2007 , Bangkok Immigration will impose 1st port clearance for all arrival passengers.

Passengers transiting at Bangkok airport to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Krabi & Koh Samui will have to clear immigration formalities at Bangkok before connecting their onward flights. Passengers' baggage will be checked through to their final destinations (C.I.Q. airports) & subsequently clear customs formalities at the respective destination airports.

In addition, passengers via C.I.Q. airports as their 1st port of arrival to Bangkok must clear immigration formalities from 28 Oct 07 onwards. Passengers' baggage will be checked through to Bangkok & subsequently clear customs formalities at Bangkok airport.

 

:: Additional Frequencies on New York & Los Angeles Services ::

Effective 01 May 2007, Thai Airways will operate daily direct flight from Bangkok-New York (JFK) v.v. & Bangkok-Los Angeles v.v. utilizing Airbus A340-500 aircraft.
